Roger Milliken, Jr. first visited the Baskahegan Valley in 1978. He returned in 1981 to write the history of the area and the Baskahegan Company, which manages his family’s timberland. From 1983 to 2020, Roger led the company, expanding its acreage and practicing a high standard of economically and ecologically responsible forest management. Forest For The Trees; A History of the Baskahegan Company was a labor of love and discovery for Roger. The first edition was published in 1983. This is the second edition published in June of 2013.
